Brian Baghdady, M.D.
Brian H. Baghdady, M.D. is Board Certified in Vascular and Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology and is a graduate of both the Interventional and Vascular Radiology fellowship and the Diagnostic Radiology residency programs of the University of Virginia. He is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina with masters and undergraduate degrees from Clemson University.
Dr. Baghdady’s specialty combines minimally invasive surgeries and imaging technologies to diagnose, treat and manage many diseases including: vascular disease (blood vessel blockages, leg pain, aneurysms and bleeding), varicose veins, cancer conditions, uterine fibroid disease, and back pain. Specific areas of interest and expertise include: peripheral and carotid artery angioplasty and stenting, varicose vein treatment, uterine fibroid embolization, vertebroplasty, kyphoplasty, and diagnostic vascular imaging.
Dr. Baghdady is on the medical staff of Bon Secours Saint Francis Hospital System-Greenville, Spartanburg Regional Hospital System- Spartanburg and Upstate Carolina Hospital-Gaffney.
Kyran Dowling, M.D.
Kyran Dowling, M.D. received his medical degree from the University of South Alabama and his undergraduate degree in chemistry from Lawrence University in Appleton Wisconsin. His diagnostic radiology training was at the University of South Alabama in Mobile Alabama. Dr. Dowling performed his fellowship in Interventional Radiology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore Maryland. He remained on faculty at The Johns Hopkins Hospital for one year as an Instructor of Radiology in the division of Interventional Radiology. Prior to joining our practice he was an associate professor of Radiology at Albany Medical College and chief of the division of Interventional Radiology of the Vascular Institute of Albany Medical Center.
Dr. Dowling specializes in Interventional Radiology. He has special interest in endovascular repair of aortic aneurysms, carotid disease, peripheral vascular disease, magnetic resonance angiography and computerized axial angiography, and uterine fibroid embolization.
Dr. Dowling is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Interventional Radiology. He is also a Fellow of the Society of Interventional Radiology.
Amanda Faile, A.C.N.P.
Amanda A. Faile, RN, ACNP received her Masters Science in Nursing degree from the University of South Carolina, where she also received her undergraduate degree in Nursing.
Ms. Faile was ANCC Board Certified in 2002. She specializes in Interventional Radiology and Neuroradiology. She is a member of SCNA, AMA and RNA.
Arhur Freedman, M.D.
Arthur M. Freedman, M.D., received his medical degree from SUNY Brooklyn Health Sciences University, and his undergraduate degree from Tulane University. His Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Fellowship was completed at Thomas Jefferson University, Radiology Residency at Cornell-North Shore University Hospital. His Internship was completed at Johns Hopkins-Frances Scott Key Hospital. He has been an assistant professor of Interventional Radiology at the Medical College of Virginia.
Dr. Freedman specializes in Interventional Radiology, treatment of peripheral, renal, cartoid arterial disease with angioplasty, stents, thrombolysis, image guided biopsy/cancer treatments, non-surgical treatment of uterine fibroids, vertebral fractures/back pain and varicose veins in the legs.
Dr. Freedman is Board Certified in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. He specializes in Vascular Disease, Angioplasty and Vascular Stenting, Uterine Fibroid Embolization, and Balloon Kyphoplasty and Percutaneous Vertebroplasty. He has served on the Vascular Committee and the Trauma Committee. He has lectured extensively about these procedures to physicians and patients. Tumor Board and Graduate Medical Education Committee.
He is married with four children.
Richard Harp, M.D.
Richard J. Harp, M.D., received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, and his undergraduate degree in Engineering form Purdue University. His Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Fellowship was completed at Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute. His Surgical Internship and Radiology Residency were completed at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Harp practices all aspects of Endovascular Surgery and Interventional Radiology. Special interests include endovascular repair of aortic aneurysms, treatment of peripheral vascular disease, and varicose vein ablation. Dr. Harp also specializes in the percutaneous treatment of tumors, including chemoembolization, radiofrequency ablation, and uterine fibroid embolization and balloon kyphoplasty.
Dr. Harp is Board Certified in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. He specializes in Vascular Disease, Angioplasty and Vascular Stenting, Uterine Fibroid Embolization, and Balloon Kyphoplasty and Percutaneous Vertebroplasty. He has served on the Vascular Committee and the Trauma Committee.
Mark Jackson, M.D.
Dr. Jackson is Board Certified in Vascular Surgery by the American Board of Surgery and his medical practice is limited to the treatment of vascular disease. He graduated from the University of Virginia School of Medicine and completed his fellowship in Vascular Surgery at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Dr. Jackson was honorably discharged from the army at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and then joined the surgery faculty at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. There he was promoted to Associate Professor of Surgery and was the Head of Endovascular Surgery. Dr. Jackson moved to Greenville in 2003 and now practices exclusively at St. Francis Hospital.
Dr. Jackson is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Distinguished Fellow of the Society for Vascular Surgery. He has authored over 75 scientific papers and publications in the medical literature and serves as an Examination Consultant to the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Jackson and his colleagues from Upstate Radiology recently formed the Southern Vascular Institute, a multidisciplinary group of vascular specialists who deliver the latest advances in the treatment of peripheral vascular disease.
Michael Ludkowski, M.D.
Michael J. Ludkowski, M.D., completed his undergraduate studies at Rutgers College, part of the State University of New Jersey, receiving a Degree in Biochemistry. He continued his education and obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago. He successfully completed an Internship in General Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin before beginning Residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Allegheny General Hospital, part of the Medical College of Pennsylvania/Hahnemann University System. Upon completion of his Residency, Dr. Ludkowski began a Fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Northwestern University Medical School. After Fellowship, Dr. Ludkowski joined the Faculty of the Division of Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the University of Colorado. At the University of Colorado, Dr. Ludkowski joined a busy practice performing advanced minimally invasive procedures for patients in the Rocky Mountain region--while teaching Medical Students, Radiology Residents, and Interventional Radiology Fellows.
Dr. Ludkowski joins Spartanburg Radiological Associates after five years of experience working in a tertiary-care University Teaching Hospital, a Level One Trauma Center, a large Children�s Hospital, and a regional Veterans Administration Medical Center. Areas of interest include: Percutaneous treatment of Vertebral Compression Fractures, Endovascular repair of Aortic Aneurysms and Peripheral Vascular Disease, Ablation and removal of lower extremity Varicose Veins, Radiofrequency Ablation and Chemoembolization of Liver Tumors, as well as the treatment of Acute Stroke. Dr. Ludkowski is Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology and has a Certificate of Added Qualification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology, both from the American Board of Radiology.
Roger Moccia, M.D.
Roger D. Moccia, M.D., attended the State University of New York at Stony Brook and earned his bachelor’s degree in engineering. Afterwards he worked at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center as a Research Assistant. He obtained his medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine and then completed his general surgery training at Albany Medical Center. He is Board Certified in General Surgery. He continued his training at Albany Medical Center as a fellow in Vascular Surgery. Dr. Moccia has joined Dr. Jackson and his colleagues who recently formed Southern Vascular Institute, a multidisciplinary group of vascular specialists who deliver the latest advances in the treatment of aortic and peripheral vascular disease.
Kim Waldenmaier, FNP
Kim Waldenmaier has over 20 years of diverse nursing experience including Women’s Health, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, and Outpatient Surgery. Academic positions include faculty member at Clemson University and staff nurse at Gallaudet University, MSSD for the Deaf in Washington, DC. She currently specializes in Interventional Radiology and Vascular Surgery.
Ms. Waldenmaier graduated from the Buffalo General Hospital School of Nursing and State University of New York Excelsior College, and later completed her Masters Degree in Nursing from Clemson University. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
She is a member of the South Carolina Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau, International Honor Society of Nursing.
